Description:
On the village street, on the left-hand side, you can see the partially scaffolded, blockhouse-style building 52. Parts of the front of the building are missing. Wooden planks lie in front of the building and lean against the scaffolding. On the right-hand side of the picture, in front of the scaffolded building 56, there is a pile of building materials on the ground, consisting of used beams, battens, corrugated metal sheets and two rolls of roofing felt still wrapped up. Behind building 52 is the former warehouse 59, with two entrances and a window on the lower floor. Building (Brygge) 73 with its gable and roof can be seen in the view between the building on the right and the warehouse.
The image, negative 3 of film and contact sheet 5, is one of 15 b/w 35 mm negative films with 36 exposures each, mostly taken by Wolfgang Eschenhorn, which document the stay of young people from Neukölln in Nyksund from July 18th to August 23rd, 1987.
