Description:
Willi Essmann and another person, secured with ropes and a climbing harness, sit on the roof of Brygge, building no. 65, and paint the roof sheets with bitumen paint. A participant leans out of the kitchen window on the first floor and looks down. On the ladder attached to the outside wall, a participant climbs down and passes a canister to Frieder Moritz, supervisor and student of social pedagogy (faculty 22). In his left hand, he holds a silicone caulking gun. At the bottom right of the picture is another participant wearing work gloves. The picture was taken from the scaffolded Brygge, building no. 67.
The image No.3 of film No.5 is part of a series of 15 b/w 35 mm negative films of 36 shots each, mostly taken by Wolfgang Eschenhorn, documenting the stay of young people from Neukölln in Nyksund from July 18 to August 23, 1987.
